Fees
Prior to your delivery you will need to pre-register.
Here are some helpful hints that will save you time and energy:
• Pre-Register between your 6th and 7th month of pregnancy
• Bring your current picture ID
• Bring your health insurance card
• Register at one of the hospital Admitting Departments:
First Floor, Main Lobby

OB Cash Delivery
This program is tailored to meet the needs of families who have insufficient insurance
coverage and want to realize the benefits of a prepaid package rate that avoids the
uncertainty of a large hospital bill after delivery.
To qualify for the prepaid package rate, expectant mothers are required to pay the entire
amount of the package within 10 days of discharge from the hospital. The current rates
are as follows:
Vaginal Delivery, up to a 48 hour stay $3,000.00
Additional Days over 48 hours
$500.00 per day
Caesarian Section, up to a 72 hour stay $5,000.00
Additional Days over 72 hours
$600.00 per day
Multiple Births, healthy newborn
Border Babies (Mother discharged)
$400.00 per day

$500.00 per day
The above rates include all routine hospital services related to the delivery and healthy
newborn care only. NICU newborns are not considered part of the packed rate and will be
charged separately. If a baby is transferred to the NICU after a vaginal delivery, the
package rate for the mother will be $2,200.00. If the baby is transferred to the NICU after
a C-Section, the package rate for the mother will be $3,800.00.
Any additional days, over the package rate, must be paid within 10 days of discharge.
Not meeting the additional prompt payment amount due within the 10 day timeframe will
result in a higher price for the service.

Rooms
For uncomplicated labors, you will labor, deliver and room-in in the same room. It’s a
simple room with a hospital bed, small couch, TV (VHS), connects to bathroom/shower,
and room to move around. There is a tub available down the hall (you can labor in it, but
not deliver)

Baby Care Basics
Two-Class series designed to acquaint the parent-to-be with skills necessary with new baby care.

Breastfeeding Class
One-session class for the pregnant and postpartum woman with information and techniques for
breastfeeding.

Infant and Child CPR for Family and Friends
This 3 hour course teaches lay rescuers in the skills of CPR and relief of foreign body airway
obstruction for infant victims and child victims.
Fee:

Maternity Tour/Torrance
Relaxing and informative tour of labor, delivery, recovery rooms, and newborn nursery and
postpartum areas.

Pain Management
Discuss the choices available to you, pain relief options, risks and side effects associated with
anesthesia and methods used for anesthesia administration.
