Product Engineer / Solid Works support
Summary: The Product Engineer is responsible for developing and modifying product designs
in connection with customer requests as presented through Sales and Marketing functions of
Regal Pinnacle Industries Inc. The Product Engineer also advocates for and follows all
production procedures, efficiently uses time, materials and capabilities, with consideration for
quality and cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide engineered shop drawings, both two dimensional and three dimensional, for product
review prior to and during use for fabrication; provide layout and "piece part" assembly drawings
as required.
• Provide engineered shop drawings to be used for purchased parts (outsourced), manufacturing,
and shop layout processes.
• Update product designs, drawings and specifications as required utilizing change control (ECN
/ ECO) process methodology.
• Participate in company continuous improvement activities.
• Work directly with Operations Management and Shop Supervision to address shop floor issues
and manufacturing concerns, ensuring continuous product and process improvements; work
directly with estimating and project management and on occasion directly with end users (with
project management involvement) on finalizing drawing details.
• Develops bills of materials, including raw materials requirements, hardware needs etc. May
recommend where to obtain outsourced products specified based on experience.
• Assists with the development of a standardized procedure for production, creating efficiencies
and cost control.
• Support new product development with the drafting and design functions of the company
through its Sales and Marketing efforts.
• Assists with the development of product packaging through engineered resources as required.
• Assists with the development of installation instructions; serves as a resource for product
installations
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
• The individual must be proficient Solid Works engineering technology; preferred experience of
products for the institutional and commercial food service industry.
• Must have a competent understanding of AutoCAD
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of materials used in fabrication, including raw
materials, hardware and shop supplies.
• Must demonstrate his/her commitment to providing accurate and quality work products.
• This position requires an individual that can handle multiple projects at one time.
• Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment that requires cross training and
open communication.
• Must be well composed under pressure maintaining a positive attitude at all times in a
demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required accompanied with a persona of a
high character team mate.
• Demonstrable experience with PC's, prior experience with Microsoft Database systems a plus
but not required. Must be proficient with MS Office products and capable of quickly becoming
efficient with Regal Pinnacle Industries ERP system.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment with all levels of employees.
• Willingness to continuously learn and be open to feedback to improve individual performance.
Education:
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, product or design engineering a plus but not
required. Associates degree in mechanical, design or product engineering.
• Experience: 2-4 years experience in similar role in manufacturing environment or a
combination of education and work experience

Work Environment:
The work environment for this position is primarily in an office setting. Regal Pinnacle
Industries is a manufacturer of equipment for the food service industry. Due to periodic time
spent on the manufacturing floor, the individual must be able to tolerate some exposure to work
place conditions (shop floor) at this facility. The individual must follow company safety
procedures; including wearing required personal protective equipment with on the shop floor.
