Every artist interprets the world around them in unique ways. Some want to honor a thing of beauty as it is. For
others, common elements around them like shapes, textures, or colors, provide inspiration. Artists are invited to
submit work that expresses the beauty of the common things they find around them.This is an opportunity to be
included in a juried show within a quality gallery setting, along with other fine artists.

Eligibility: Open to Arizona artists. All media accepted in 2D and 3D. Work must be original and completed since June, 2008.
Maximum finished size is: 40” x 40“(petition for exceptions.) No minimum size. All Entries will be juried and must be for sale.
Cash awards total $250.00.
Entry Fee: $15.00 per each entry. Make check payable to Prescott Fine Arts Association, 208 North Marina Street, Prescott,
Arizona 86301. Attn: Beauty of Common Things. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Entry Forms: Entry forms may be obtained at the PFAA office or through the mail, by sending a self-addressed, stamped
envelope to the Prescott Fine Arts Association. You may also obtain an entry form from the website www.pfaa.net .
Forms must be postmarked by January 23, 2011 or hand delivered to the PFAA Box Office before January 24, 2011.
Office hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Photo Information: Photo minimum size: 4” x 6”; 8 x 10 preferred. Photo(s) must be labeled on backside with the Artist’s
Name, Title, and the top of photo marked with red dot or arrow. For each 3-D work entered, please submit 2 photos: one full
view and one detail view. Include a brief statement of the materials. Please include all required information on your application. If
you care to have your photos returned, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope (large enough to hold photos) or you can pick up
your photos on opening night.
Acceptance Information: Acceptance letters will be sent via email where possible. If an email address is unavailable, please
include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for your acceptance letter.
Display and Sale: All work must be ready to hang/display when received. 3D pieces will be displayed on pedestals. 2D work
must be ready to hang on the wall. Wires must be secure and placed so that wire & nails are not visible when hung. Work with
saw-tooth hangers will not be hung. Any special display instructions are appreciated.
A 35% commission will be retained by PFAA for all work sold, using the retail price listed on the entry form.
Hosting: Accepted artists must host the gallery; two 2.5-hour sessions. If artists have not hosted within the last 6 months, a 1-hour
training class must be attended.
Judge: Patti Ortiz,, an artist who exhibits at Arts Prescott Cooperative gallery and T’is gallery.
