After inquiring about a job and being told the application was only available online, a consumer needed help as he did not have a computer to use. Since his vehicle was not drivable, arrangements were made for transportation to NHILC where he got the application and an updated resume completed, and also transportation to the job location to introduce himself to the manager. Section 5317 Transportation Program (FREE TO PASSENGER): Section 5317 New Freedom Transportation Program provides transportation to persons with disabilities to appointments, grocery shopping and to meet other needs and requests for rides. Call New Horizons Transportation at 775-8870 and ask for Section 5317. There is limited funding available. Do you have a small project and need some help? A Community Service Day will be held in May to do small projects of 5 hours or less, such as weeding, painting, small repairs or ramps. Having your own materials is best, but some limited funds are available for supplies.
