Make-up policy: To make up a lab you need to talk to me and come to one of my other
lab sections, weekly quizzes may not be made up. If you cannot attend another one of
my lab sections the department teaches many other sections at different times and you
will need to attend one that fits your schedule. If you must attend a section I do not teach
be sure to let the instructor and me know.
Attendance Policy: The student is expected to attend all labs during the semester.
Failure to attend a lab or make up a missed lab will result in a final grade reduction of 3%
for each lab not completed.
Study Room: To be announced.
Rock Bags: To aid in your study of rocks and minerals during the first half of the course,
the Geology Department sells “rock bags” that contain samples of the rocks and minerals
we cover in class. They will be available in the Ozark Hall basement ( near the lecture
hall, room 25) two or three weeks into the semester for $25. They can be sold back to the
department after the rock and mineral final for $15.
