Assessment: What did you learn from this chapter? COMMENTS TO YEAR PLAN Generally, each chapter can be read consecutively as set out in the book, starting with Chapter 1. The texts in each chapter follow a thematic scheme and therefore individual texts within each chapter go well together. Some teachers, however, might prefer to have a common start of the year for all their classes. In this case you can start with chapter 2, which is the same in all At Work books. Novel Some teachers might want to save the novel for vg2. Here it is suggested to read a novel in vg1, since this year has one more class per week than the second year. Also, many media students are quite experienced readers. The students can choose their own novel, or the teacher might suggest two novels at different levels. See list of suggested literature.
