Programme Outline
Charlotte, Emily and James belong to the Writing Savers Club whose special mission is to
provide help to children who encounter difficulties in their writing. In this episode, Kelly’s
dream of rendering a dance performance nearly vanishes when she receives a note from a
mysterious sender. The Writing Savers help Kelly not only decode the meaning of the note but
also fulfill her dream by teaching her how to write a letter.
How does a letter help Kelly fulfill her dream? How should a letter be written? Find this out
from the Writing Savers.

Before watching the programme, motivate the class by asking pupils whether they have
written any letters before or whether they have received any letters. Teachers can also
bring a handful of letters to the class and ask students to compare and note any
distinctive features of the letters. Moreover teachers can also brainstorm pupils of the
reasons why people write letters.
Explain to the class that they are going to watch a programme about letter writing. Ask
them to find out who the people that have written a letter in the programme are and what
the purposes of the letters are.
