Be a holder of Ordinary Diploma from
KNEC with Credit Pass in Civil Engineering,
Building and Civil Engineering or Water
Engineering.
ii)
Be a holder of Ordinary Diploma in Civil
Engineering, Building and Civil Engineering or
Water Engineering. from KNEC with a Pass plus 3
years working experience
4 Calendar years for ordinary
diploma and 3 Calendar years
for Higher National Diploma
applicants.
3rd Years:
i)
Be a holder of Higher National Diploma
from KNEC with at least Credit Pass from KNEC in
Civil Engineering, Building and Civil Engineering or
Water Engineering.
ii)
Be a holder of Higher National Diploma in
Civil Engineering, Building and Civil Engineering or
Water Engineering. from KNEC with a Pass plus 3
years working experience.
i)
Be a holder of KSCE (or equivalent
examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate
of C+ and a minimum of C + in both English and
Mathematics or credit in Bridging Mathematics, OR
ii)
Have a minimum of 2 principal passes in
Science subjects, one of which should be
Mathematics, in General Certificate of Education
(GCE) Advanced Level/ Kenya Advanced
Certificate of Education (KACE) , OR
iii)
Have a diploma in Mathematics or Statistics
and with at least a credit pass from an Institution
recognized by the University Senate, OR
iv)
Have a diploma in Applied Sciences, in
which there has been a substantial mathematical
content, with at least a credit pass in relevant
subjects from an Institution recognized by the
University Senate, OR
v)
Have a higher diploma in Statistics or
Applied Statistics from an institution recognized by
the University Senate

i)
Be a holder of KCSE (or equivalent
examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate
of C+ and a minimum of C in Mathematics and a
minimum of C in English. OR
ii)
Be a holder of KACE certificate with a
minimum of two principal passes and subsidiary pass
in general paper and a minimum of credit pass in
Mathematics at KCE. OR
iii)
Holders of Diploma with at least a CREDIT
pass in County governance from JKUAT will be
exempted for the first year of study
iv) Be a holder of any other qualification accepted by
the University Senate as equivalent to any of the
above.

Be a holder of a diploma in a relevant
discipline from an institution recognised by the
University Senate. OR

accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to

v)
Candidates who hold a diploma from JKUAT
will, at the discretion of the University Senate, be
exempted from Year I. Candidates with a Diploma
from other institutions recognized by the University
Senate may be exempted from year one.
vi)
Candidates
who
are
CPA/CPS/ACCA/CCP/CICT finalist will be
exempted from year 1.
i)
Be a holder of KCSE (or equivalent
examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate
of C+ and a minimum of C in English or Kiswahili
with a minimum pass in Mathematics OR
ii)
Be a holder of KACE certificate with a
minimum of two principal passes and subsidiary pass
in General Paper OR
iii)
Be a holder of Diploma in Community
Development/ Development Studies with minimum
of a pass from JKUAT or from an institution
recognised by the University Senate OR
iv)
Be a holder of any other qualification
accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to
any of the above.

Must have passed Mathematics in the KCSE
at a minimum grade of C+. In addition, a student
must have passed in both subjects from one of the
following alternatives:

ii)
Have a minimum of 2 principal passes in
Science subjects in General Certificate of Education
(GCE) Advanced Level/ Kenya Advanced

at least a credit pass from an Institution recognized
by the University Senate, OR
iv)
