Catalog Description (Insert new/revised description below):
Builds upon knowledge and skills obtained in RADT 100. This course is designed
with both a didactic and laboratory component. Emphasis is placed on the
demonstration and practice of fluoroscopic and intermediate radiographic
procedures. Enrollment is restricted to students in the clinical component
of the Radiologic Technology AS program. A course fee is required.

Explain and demonstrate appropriate communication with patients and their
families as it pertains to radiographic exams
Explain and demonstrate proper use of imaging equipment, supplies, and
devises
Simulate radiographic exams from start to finish on a person or phantom in a
laboratory setting
Explain and demonstrate how to adapt radiographic exams to atypical
conditions and patient physical, mental, cultural, and emotional variations
Evaluate images for positioning, centering, appropriate anatomy and overall
image quality

thorax

Assessment of student learning outcomes for the course, as required by AP 765, is
part of regular curriculum maintenance and/or improvement. The specific plan has
been determined by the pertinent faculty involved and is maintained in the College’s

Competency skill tests through observation. Written examination, written
reports, projects, and presentations.
