COURSE TITLE: RadiographicTechniques 4 COURSE NO: RAD 1302 CREDIT HOURS: 2+1=3 COURSE OBJECTIVE: To Familiarize the student with the more advanced radiographic techniques necessary to demonstrate the soft tissue structures of the body including the application and hazard of using radiographic contrast agents. To give the student an understanding of the principles of mammography COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course includes study of various types of contrast agents, their specific application and dosages. Reactions to contrast agents is covered, and the management of the patient in the various circumstance is also dealt with. Examinations requiring contrast media intravenous Urography, soft tissue radiography Mammographic examinations, high KVp techniques are covered in detail. ASSESSMENT: 1. 2 Mid-Term Exams Oral Exam and continous practical assessment 2.
