Generally, 50 courses (5 years) will meet the requirements for the combined degree program at the University of Lethbridge (E.g. BA/BEd, or BSc, BEd) 30 courses are required for an Arts and Science degree, which includes a Major, General Liberal Education Requirements (GLERS) and other electives. 20 courses for your BEd degree, which will train you to teach K to Grade 12. How Many Courses Can I Take at Lethbridge College? Students MAY complete up to 15 Arts and Sciences Courses toward their BA/BEd or BSc/BEd program. The U of L offers a number of single discipline majors (Political Science, English, Biological Sciences, etc.) and general majors in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences. Single discipline majors contain courses from one discipline. General majors are comprised of courses from three disciplines. You need to choose a BA or BSc major that corresponds with the U of L Education majors. Courses from your planned Major for the U of L (as per Prog. Planning Guides). Electives or GLER courses noted on the Program Planning Guide Management and Health Science courses are Not Allowed in a BA or BSc Education program. Any Other Advice? A maximum of 10 – 1xxx level courses are allowed throughout the entire program. It is advisable that students not take all 10 at Lethbridge College.
