New porcelain stoneware concept with expressive surface finish
ASPEN: harmonious contrast between stone look and soft colours
True elegance comes from the deepest essence of things. This principle has been followed by
Villeroy & Boch Tiles in the development of the new ASPEN porcelain stoneware concept,
notable both for the quality of the material and surface finish and the permanence of its
colours and decors. The result is a distinctive design inspired by the renowned Valser
quartzite. The characteristic layering and light veins combine to produce an expressive
surface finish offering a delightful contrast between the characteristic stone look and the soft
colours.
The authentic design and three natural colours – creme-white, grey and anthracite – make
ASPEN ideal for the floors and walls of rooms seeking a natural yet modern feel. The
different formats allow both classic and modern minimalist scenarios. The large 60 x 120 cm
format in particular is striking: laid with few joints, it looks like a fascinating segment of a
monolithic rock face that creates a generous feeling of spaciousness. In contrast, there is the
plain strip mosaic for the walls producing a harmonious effect that emphasises and
accentuates selected areas. With R9 and R10/B slip resistance and a mosaic for sloping
floors, ASPEN is ideal for practically all private and public areas.
ASPEN is made of vilbostone porcelain stoneware. It is available in 30 x 60 cm, 60 x 60 cm
and 60 x 120 cm formats with matching 30 x 120 cm stair tiles. A strip mosaic on 30 x 50 cm
mats, a 5 x 5 cm mosaic on 30 x 30 cm mats and 7.5 x 60 cm strip skirting supplement the
basic formats in all colours.
With its natural, detailed quartzite look, ASPEN is made for upmarket bathrooms and living
rooms. It also lends an elegant homely feel to public buildings such as foyers, lobbies,
doctors’ surgeries or hotel bathrooms.
