Muestra Internacional de Ex Libris “Mitos y leyendas”
A fin de difundir la práctica del arte del Ex Libris, Xylon Argentina y G.A.D.E.L.
(Gente Amiga Del Ex Libris) convocan a participar de la muestra internacional de Ex
- Libris.
El objetivo de esta muestra es exhibir un panorama del ex –libris en distintas partes
del mundo y tener un acercamiento a la obra de distintos artistas.
Artistas de la especialidad evaluarán la calidad de las obras enviadas.
Reglamento
















La convocatoria es abierta y gratuita, pudiendo participar artistas argentinos
y extranjeros mayores de 16 años.
El tema a desarrollar es “MITOS Y LEYENDAS”, que pueden ser locales de cada
país, o regionales de Argentina.
Cada artista podrá participar con un máximo de 3 obras, de las cuales deberá
enviar dos estampas iguales de cada una, firmadas, sin enmarcar ni
encamisar. En su parte posterior deberán tener escrito a lápiz los siguientes
datos: Año de realización, técnica utilizada, nombre completo, dirección y
mail del artista.
Cada obra deberá ser acompañada, en nota aparte, con una pequeña reseña o
resumen sobre qué mito o leyenda trata cada ex—libiris que envíen.
Se admitirán técnicas de gráfica tradicional incluyendo serigrafía y diseño por
computadora. No serán aceptados dibujos ni fotocopias.
El formato del Ex Libris no deberá superar los 13 x 13cms., la medida del
papel no deberá exceder los 20 x 15 cms.
La imagen relacionada con el mito o leyenda, deberá estar acompañada, de la
inscripción “Ex Libris”, como así también el nombre del propietario.
Las estampas deberán ser remitidas a Ex – libris Mitos y leyendas, Xylon
Argentina, Bacacay 5060, Buenos Aires, C1407EEJ, Argentina, y la fecha de
recepción será hasta el 30 de Agosto del 2008.
Las obras que sean entregadas personalmente deberán ser presentadas
solamente los días jueves 21 y 28 o los días viernes 15, 22 ó 29 de Agosto de
17 a 20 hs.
Las obras no serán devueltas y pasarán a formar parte del patrimonio de
Xylon Argentina y GADEL (Gente amiga del EX Libris). Las obras recibidas
fuera de término no serán aceptadas.
Un Jurado hará una selección de las obras para ser exhibidas de acuerdo a su
calidad.
La muestra se realizará desde el 5 al 26 de Noviembre de 2008 en el Museo de
Bellas Artes de Quilmes, adhiriendo a la propuesta de El Caliu 30 Días
Internacional por la difusión del grabado.
La muestra se difundirá a todas las sociedades Exlibristas pertenecientes a
FISAE (Federación Internacional de Sociedades de Exlibristas).
Se enviará documentación a cada participante
Se distinguirán a cinco obras para ser publicados en el sitio oficial de nuestra
Sociedad ( www.xylonargentina.com.ar )
La participación implica la aceptación de este reglamento.
Esta muestra cuenta con el auspicio de la Secretaría de Cultura de la Municipalidad
de Quilmes
Colaboran además Rodillos Queirolo, Prensa Copotelli, Artística Villalba, Tintas
Weinstock.
International Exhibition ex libris “Myths and Legends”
In order to divulge the practice of the art of ex libris, Xylon Argentina and GADEL
(Bookplates Friend People) call to participate in the International Exhibition of ex
libris.
The aim of this exhibition is to display a view of ex libris in different parts of the
world and have an insight into the work of various artists.
Artists of the speciality will assess the quality of the works submitted.
Rules:

















The invitation is open and free, being able to participate argentine and
foreign artists over 16 years old.
The theme to develop is “Myths and legends”, that may be local in each
country, or regional for Argentina.
Each artist may participate with a maximum of 3 works, from which two
prints of each should be sent, signed without framing or board. In the back
the following information must be written in pencil: year of execution,
technique, full name, address and the artist’s e.mail.
Each work must be accompanied with a small review or summary of which
myth or legend the work is about.
There’re allowed traditional graphic techniques including screen printing and
computer design. No drawings or photocopies will be accepted.
The format of bookplates must not exceed 13 x 13 cm, and the paper
shouldn’t exceed 20 x 15 cm.
The image, related to the myth or legend,must be accompanied by the
inscription “ex libris”, as well as the name of the owner.
The prints should be addressed to:

And the deadline for the admission is August 30th 2008.
Works can also be personally delivered only on August 21st and 28th Thursdays
and 15th, 22nd and 29th Fridays, from 17 to 20 hs at the same address.
The works will not be returned and will become part of the heritage of Xylon
Argentina and GADEL. The works received outside term will not be accepted.
A Jury will make a selection of works to be displayed according to their
quality.
The exhibition will take place from November 5th to November 26th at the Fine
Arts Museum in Quilmes, adhering to the proposal of El Caliú 30 Days
International for the engraving diffusion.
The exhibition material will be disseminated to all Ex libris Societies
belonging to FISAE (International Federation of Ex libris Societies).
Documentation will be sent to each participant.
Five works will be distinguished to be published on the official site of our
Society (www.xylonargentina.com.ar).
Participation implies acceptance of these rules.
