After successfully completing eight years of Spanish study, students will be prepared for high school Spanish. Suggested Time frame Grade Minimal time Kindergarten 1st-2nd 3rd-6th 7th-8th 15-20 minutes (Once a week) 25 minutes (Twice a week) 30 minutes (Twice a week) 45 minutes (5 times a week for one quarter) *7th-8th grade were not given Expectations due to the fact that most language classes are part of Elective classes that meet quarterly. Offer the foreign language with a minimum of 2 days per week for 15-45 minutes each day depending on grade level. 2. Use multimedia computers and appropriate language software programs that offer oral and written instruction. 3.
