Directions: Create an ecosystem of your choice following the guidelines below. (Examples of an ecosystem
are: your neighborhood, your school, a rainforest, ect.) You will be responsible for labeling each part of the
ecosystem. You must use at least ONE organism from THREE different kingdoms.
Choices for ecosystem creations:

Guidelines
1. List and label the following on your project
 Organism (one of a specific species…ex: cat)
o Choose THREE and include the organism’s domain, kingdom and genus species name to be
shown on your project. **NOTE: Organisms must belong to three DIFFERENT kingdoms.
o One a separate sheet of paper explain each organism’s cell characteristics.
 Population (many organisms of the same species in a certain area…ex: 3 cats)
 Community (different biotic organism in a certain area…ex: cat, dog, trees, ext.)
 Ecosystem (list ALL biotic and abiotic factors-minimum of three each)
2. List and label the following on your project
Must be different than the three organisms you have already labeled.

 Write a 3 paragraph summary to describe a day in the life of an organism in your ecosystem on a
