Tropical Ocean and Tundra Tundra: We did our project over the Tundra and Tropical Ocean. The symbiotic relationships were polar bears and caribou. Another is polar bears and seals. The predator-prey relationship is snowy owls and lemmings. The competition is between polar bears and artic wolves for resources. A limiting factor in the Tundra is the lack of food makes it hard for herbivores to survive, such as the musk-ox, which explains why few species live there. Some other factors are temperature, rain, wind, permafrost, and altitude. The temperature in the tundra is what makes it the coldest biome in the world. It has little rain year round. It has long winters and short summers. Tropical Ocean: Our next ecosystem was Tropical Ocean. A symbiotic relationship clownfish and anemone. Another sharks and remora. A predator-prey relationship is conger eel and wrasse. Some competition is deep water angler fish compete with each other. Some limiting factors are temperature, current direction, velocity, and the runoff from land. Some more are viral disease, predation, parasitism, and competition. Jonathan Swift and Matthew Knobloch
