Invitation to the lecture
"Capillary Electrophoresis for Study of Complex Formation in
Solution"
by Dr. Vladimir SLADKOV
Research Associate CNRS , Institute of Nuclear Physics, Orsay, France
Anotation:
This presentation will be devoted to the investigation of chemical equilibiria between
metal ion and inorganic (organic) ligand in the aqueous solutions by affinity capillary
electrophoresis. Several systems will be examined: U(VI)-Se(IV), U(VI)-Se(VI)… The
influence of the pH, the ionic strength and the temperature will be discussed. The cases of
the systems with different kinetics (rapid, intermediate and slow) will be also treated.
Scientific interest:

Speciation of heavy metals, actinides and fission products in different media in
relation with nuclear fuel cycle by capillary electrophoresis and time-resolved
laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy

Determination of actinide ions and organic acids in different media: application
for nuclear fuel dissolution study
