I began working in clay in New York City in the early 80’s, learning from fellow
potters in a cooperative studio. Since moving to California I have participated in
workshops at Mendocino Art Center with Alleghany Meadows, studied pit-firing
techniques with Molly Prier, and porcelain throwing at Penland Crafts School with
Angela Fina. Since 2003 I have been exploring the possibilities in wood firing at
Richard Carter’s anagama kiln in Pope Valley.
Since 1992 I have sold my work through several shops in Marin County, at Bay Area
art festivals, and from my studio in Bolinas. My work has been shown at Artisans
Gallery in Mill Valley, the Bolinas Museum Miniature Show since 1995 and the
museum’s West Marin Artists Gallery, The Artery and Pence Gallery in Davis, Feats
of Clay in Lincoln, and Trax Gallery in Berkeley
