Librarian-Scholar, Special Collections Dartmouth College Library Position Purpose Reporting directly to the Librarian of the College, the Librarian-Scholar, Special Collections, provides programmatic and strategic leadership in: (1) the integration and utilization of special collections in teaching and research programs at Dartmouth College, and where appropriate, the larger scholarly community; (2) building and curating unique collections for research; and (3) developing Dartmouth College archives for both scholarly and public information purposes. Qualifications and Qualities Skills & Knowledge Experience Education Proven leadership and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of current collection management directions and issues. Ability and desire to function in a team environment. Demonstrated capacity to foster change in an academic setting. Reading knowledge of at least one western European foreign language. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Understanding and commitment to use of digital technology. Potential for successful relations with alumni and development.
