The Theatre Library Association - in conjunction with Mint Theater, New York City
Center Encores!, and Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival – announces its second
Symposium.
Exploring the complex challenges of staging works recovered from dramatic and
musical repertories, three in-depth case studies of remounting works of drama,
musical theatre, and modern dance will be presented:

Known for excavating buried theatrical treasures, artists and dramaturgs from Mint
Theater, Encores! and Jacob’s Pillow will take the audience on a theatrical dig –
rediscovering musical scores, recovered choreography, and forgotten plays.
Issues of original intent, interpretation, and artistic license will be considered.
