AI/ Carter & Ward need to investigate and address water management/ silt lagoon capacity. Inspection Results Summary: Haul road was dirty and dusty. Water Bowser and Sweeper need to be operating on a more frequent basis. New signs are clean and very visible. Extraction in the western extension has now expired Stock piles in the correct position although care needs to be taken that stockpiled material does spill into the surrounding woodland. The silt lagoon which is a temporary measure only seems to be working well. The MPA is still waiting for proposals on how to address water management/ silt lagoon capacity at St Clere’s Hall Pit from Aggregate Industries and Carter & Ward. This matter needs urgently addressing. The sides of vehicles leaving the site after tipping need to be clean and free of debris. Danbury Haulage. Screening machinery in place in Danbury Haulage site. No screening/crushing going on at time of visit although screening of materials has been taking place.
