Earthquake Background information:
At any given time, there are several actively erupting volcanoes or damaging earthquakes
somewhere in the world. Many of these earthquakes and volcanoes happen near centers
of population, and mitigation of hazards is very important to the survival and well-being
of the population. Try this link for information: natural-disasters.com


Your assignment is to use the internet to find information on an earthquake that is
well documented enough for you to get enough information to write about.
Clicking on the USGS Earthquake Hazards Page, Earthquake Facts and Lists, and
scrolling down, you will find many topics to explore. You can also click on
Seismosurfing the Internet...a very extensive list of seismic sites. You are
expected to fully explore all links that have information relating to your
earthquake.
Your report must be a 4-5 page double spaced report with references.
Your references must come from on-line sources only.
Please use web resources, and cite them correctly, using the following guide.

GUIDELINES. or see the below examples from the OWL writing lab at

Please be careful to organize your thoughts and lay out your report in a way that

All pictures must have captions....and be properly referenced....you did not
