Baker, ASG Student Representative • Taylor Powell, ESF Administrative Assistant, Ex-Officio (Non-Voting) • Nathan Lawrence, Facilities Committee Members Absent: • Randy Simpson, Biology Faculty Advisor • Lindsey Reed, ASG Student Representative • Nick Maloukis, NAEP Student Representative Agenda 5/23 Recycling campaign o Updates and plan making; labeling for new containers, promoting the cause on campus, newspaper, etc. Posters for the Fall o Describing what we do, encouraging new applications, informing about mug give-aways and times people can meet us and get more info Bylaws Start of Meeting No Voting Today Halister Drummond – Massingil’s grad student – Update on Biodiesel o Brought samples from chicken grease o Improving conversion from triglycerides o Bigger reactor = faster and greater production o Currently getting 92% reaction rate – working on improving it to 98.5% o Biodiesel will be used in mowers on campus o 120ml/min -> 10-15 gallons of biodiesel o This new process is revolutionary – biodiesel in minutes o Has increased production capacity by 5 times o Patent update Difference in processing techniques Recycling campaign o Updates and plan making; labeling for new containers, promoting the cause on campus, newspaper, etc. o Contamination is still very high o Mario is getting dome shaped lids to prevent rain getting in o Labeling the containers o Mentioned letter to the Univ.
