This two year rotational graduate programme will enable you to experience 4 key areas within the IA&DT business before deciding where to specialise at the end of this period. Those areas are as follows: •Projects - Within the project area of the business you will be involved in project planning and delivery, documentation design and review, project validation and compliance, software configuration and management and appropriate testing for quality management and control. •Internal Sales - Within the internal sales team will be involved in preparing and delivering proposals and quotations to our customers. Providing pre-sales guidance and technical support, work with the external sales force and vetting received orders before processing. •Technical Support - You will be brought up to speed in PLC programming, work with the pre-sales team and spend time supporting customers on the help desk. •4th Module - This final placement will be within IA&DT and will be identified with the Graduate following discussions about future career interests / aspirations. What do I need to qualify for this job? You will be graduating in, or have graduated with a 2:1 or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, ideally with a controls or power bias. You will have studied Physics and Maths at A-Level (or the equivalent) You will be flexible and adaptable in your approach and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills You will have the ability to contribute positively in a team working environment, and have a positive, can-do attitude You will be expected to take a very hands-on approach and relate well to our customers on a daily basis. From very on early on in your career you’ll find yourself contributing and making decisions about how we work What else do I need to know? As well as an in-house Induction and formal Career Development Programme including assistance in achieving Chartered Engineer status, you will also take part in the National Siemens Graduate Development Programme. This consists of a series of modules covering the personal and professional skills you will need at this stage in your career. You will also receive high level job specific training and development.
