Duties: Recruit and register 35+ students for the 3rd-5th grade COMPASS cohort Meet regularly with parents and teachers of identified COMPASS students to develop, coordinate, and evaluate the effectiveness of individualized academic/social support strategies. Develop Customized/Personalized Lesson Plans for each child enrolled in the COMPASS program and coordinate with parents, tutors, mentors, and teachers to follow and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan. Track and report statistical information and survey results necessary for evaluation of participants and programs. Assist identified COMPASS students and families with accessing needed services to support their academic growth. Maintain a database of the 3rd-5th grade students enrolled in after-school programming. In partnership with M-WCSC staff, provide training and support for EXCEL teachers, AmeriCorps members, work-study students, and volunteers to ensure safe, effective, and well-coordinated operation of the after-school and and summer OST programs. Participate in planning and implementing educational and cultural family events sponsored by MWCSC member organizations. Participate in M-WCSC, All-School staff meetings, grade-level meetings, and others as required and necessary to ensure a high level of collaboration in serving 3rd-5th grade COMPASS students. Provide program-specific training, support, and team-building for work-study students and volunteers associated with the after-school programs. Serve as the food manager for after-school and family night programming; coordinating snack and family event meal preparation, distribution, and clean-up. Serve Safe training will be provided. Support safe dismissal and transportation home from COMPASS program through check-out procedures, walking students home, and accompanying them on the bus as needed. Serve as the Imagination Station Coordinator during the summer months. Other duties as assigned. Hours: This is a 12-month, 40 hour/week, grant funded position. Continuation of employment is dependent on funding.
