The trainstation is 5km from your house, the busstop 2km from your house. How do you think about living independant with other international volunteers ? Some questions specific to the projects : This project is working with mostly not-motivated youngsters coming from divers difficult situations. Difficult situations like bad social environment and cause of that coming in a circle of bad behaviour, agression, psychiatry,...From experience we know that volunteers are shocked in the beginning about the violence(verbally a lot) amongst the youngsters. So this will be one of the things to be prepared on. How do you feel like dealing with the fact that sometimes you are doing a workshop on your own? With doing on your own we mean also that no youngsters are attending. So for example you are doing a cooking workshop and you find yourself cooking on your own. Or you planned to make bracelets and nobody comes to join you so you start alone and maybe within half an hours someone comes to join you. Do you have any experience in working with young people having several behavioural disorders( ( drugs, sexual abuse, neglection of parents, psychiatry, concentration disability, 2 learning disorderes, relational disorders,...)? Share your experience. If you have no experience, share your thoughts about this. We are asking this in preparation, cause from experience we know that other EVS volunteers had some difficulties in dealing with several situations as rural area, difficult youngsters, being independant,.... There is not a good or wrong answer. If you also have some more questions for clarification, don't hesistate to ask. The more we get clear before the better prepared. It is important to be well prepared for making a good choice and off course you will learn some things just by doing it yourself. Mail us if you need more information! A good communication in the beginning is already a good start of the project. Off course we would love to know some little back ground from you also : Education / Training / Life / Work experience you would like to share: Have you ever been abroad ? Where and for how long ? Have you already taken part in any international youth project ? Give further details Have you ever been active as a volunteer? Current situation (work, study / further education, vocational orientation course, without particular engagement, or something else) Anything else you want to write: 3
