Due to the prevailing weather condition, there is a chance for
occurrence of diseases like Bacterial leaf blight and leaf spot. To
control these bacterial infections, apply 1 kg of Pseudomonas
fluorescence per acre along with 20 kg of farmyard manure or sand in
main field.
To improve the fruit set spray triacontanol @1.25 ml/ one litre of water
at two weeks interval.
The current weather is conducive for leaf spot incidence in
tomato and if occurs spray Mancozeb (Dithane M45) @ 2g/litre.

Before planting turmeric, the seed rhizomes have pre-treated with carbendazim @ 1 g / lit
and phosalone 35 EC 2 ml / lit.
For already planted turmeric, rhizomes can be protected from excess soil moisture against
germination by providing proper drainage.
Harvesting of irrigated sesame may be postponed since rainfall is anticipated in the next
coming days.
Nematode infestation may be noticed in sugarcane crop. To control this, apply carbofuran 3G
at 33 kg/ha two months after planting and crop rotation may be done with marigold.
There is possibility of iron deficiency in tapioca. To manage this, spray ferrous sulphate @
2.5g/lit followed by another two to three sprays with weekly interval. Enough soil moisture
must be available at the time of spraying. Spraying may be done in early morning hours
between 6 am to 8 am.
Considering the high wind speed to blow, five month and above banana crop and
nine month old sugarcane crop may be given support to avoid lodging of the crops.
