(See your advisor.) Course Policies Each student will arrange with the instructor to have a weekly lesson. Students enrolled for 1 credit must have 10 half-hour lessons in the term. Students enrolled for 2 credits must have 10 one-hour lessons in the term. If the student skips a lesson or does not give the instructor 24 hours notice, the lesson will not be made up. Students are still required to pay the instructor regardless of missed lessons. If the student has a pre-arranged absence, or an emergency, then a make-up lesson may be arranged at the instructor’s convenience. Grading Regular attendance and outside practice is expected and is necessary in order for the student to accomplish the course goals. Grading is based upon the student’s attendance, evidence of outside practicing, progress (vocal technique and learning of songs), completion of repertoire preparation worksheets for each assigned song, and the student’s performance at juries. Extra credit is available for performance at the recital or any vocal competitions during the term.
