Senior Coach Wanted The South Melbourne District Amateur Football Club is seeking the services of a Senior Coach (playing or non-playing) to lead the club in 2016 and beyond. As Senior coach you will be leading a proud club with more than 100 years of history and will have a major impact in driving the South Melbourne ‘Bloods’ culture. The successful applicant will be a motivated, success-focused individual who is able to develop and communicate a clear vision to take our great club up through the grades of the VAFA. A critical measure of success will be your ability over time to attract and retain senior players. It is also imperative that you lead by example and act with integrity and honour at all times. Playing in Division D3 of the VAFA, our senior team have developed a committed group of young leaders who are eager for sustained on field success. We have outstanding facilities in the vibrant Albert Park area and a strong local sponsorship base. We have a large and growing junior club (350 in Auskick, and 17 junior teams in the South Metro Junior Football League). Our football club forms part of the South Melbourne District Sports Club, with more than 1300 participants in football, cricket and athletics. As Senior Coach you will influence the football program across the entire club and participate in workshops for our developing coaches. You will work in particular with our Under 16 & 17 teams, to identify talent and further develop these players. A Level 2 Coaching Accreditation is a pre-requisite for this position.
