The Formal Sentence Outline Format distinguishes the formal outline from other forms of outlining. The traditional format of the formal sentence outline makes the division and subordination of report material obvious at a glance. The model outline below shows the kinds of information you might include in a formal report and how you could divide that information. This model is intended to show you how an outline might look; don't use it as is for one of your assignments. I. Introduction A.
