Create a front page for your newspaper, including a title, front page headlines, date of the paper, and cost. KEEP IN MIND THE TIME PERIOD YOU ARE WORKING WITH. Brainstorm some ideas in the space below. Group Member #1: Write a 5-7 paragraph news article based on an event from the novel Create an advertisement (store, restaurant, job, product, etc.) that demonstrates your knowledge of the setting, including time period & location Write an advice column (ex. Dear Abby with at least 4 questions asking for advice with 4 responses) Group Member #2: A cartoon (comic strip) based on an event from the novel. 4-5 squares An editorial on one of the themes of the novel. It should be a 5 paragraph editorial. Gossip column (kinda like some of the stuff posted on godubois). Write at least 5 items of gossip. Group Member #3: Create an advertisement (store, restaurant, job, product, etc.) that demonstrates your knowledge of the setting, including time period & location Write a 5 paragraph human interest story about an event from the novel (ex. Girl found dead in barn) An interview with a character from the novel (at least 6 questions need to be asked to the character with 6 responses) Group Member #4: Write a 5 paragraph news article regarding a major event in the U.S. happening during the same time period (you will need to do some research- be sure your date for the paper coordinates with the date of the event) Write an obituary of one of the characters (look in a newspaper). Include personal information…should be at least 2-3 paragraphs. Write a music review (research some music for this time period and look at how music reviews are written online)
