I see myself as both a pragmatist and an idealist with a diversity of interests within and outside the field of psychiatry. I tend to see people as basically doing the best they can. Throughout the bulk of my professional career, I have seen very young children, people in the last chapters of their life, and all ages in between. This opportunity to experience the breadth of the human experience over the past twenty years has been honored work for which I am grateful. My clients have taught me many important life lessons. I have grown immeasurably as a person.
