THE 2015 KPA ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
The Department of Psychiatry, led by the chairman Prof Kuria, is attending the Annual Kenya
Psychiatry Association (KPA). This year's conference, which starts today (14th May, 2015) is taking
place at the Noble Hotel in Eldoret Town (Uasin Gishu County), and is expected to last up to Sunday
(17th May, 2015).
The conference, which was opened by the Vice Chancellor of Moi University Prof. Mibei, has
attracted a wide range of experts and students in the fields of Mental Health. Psychiatrists, Clinical
Psychologists, Medical Anthropologists, and Psychiatric Social Workers are among those attending.
During the opening ceremony, Prof. Harun Menngech (Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and
Technology), gave the opening remarks and highlighted the growth and development of Psychiatry.
