21st Century Down Syndrome Research & Healthcare
Symposium … Supporting the needs of Children and Adults
with Down syndrome throughout the lifespan.
This exciting symposium will be held in San Diego on
Saturday, April 17th from 8:30am until 3:00pm
and is sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association
of San Diego (DSA) in collaboration with
the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS).
Families, Professionals and Caregivers are invited to join us for an
informative discussion on current research, healthcare and policy
initiatives impacting the Down syndrome community. Experts in the field
will present on key issues related to local and national initiatives designed
to improve quality of care and enhance the quality of life for people with
Down syndrome.
Key Topics: Trisomy 21 Translational Research Parity Act of 2009; Down
Syndrome Medical Concerns: “Day-to-Day Issues”; Translational
Research: Predictive Factors, Clinical Applications & Clinic Models and
The Neurobiology of Down syndrome & Cognitive Research: “Helping the
Brain”.
