Muller Martini To Present Live Demonstrations
At MBO America Open House
“Innovation Days,” November 7-9, to feature latest production solutions including
SigmaLine OnDemand book technology as well as BravoPlus stitcher
Muller Martini will again show the industry why the company is the world leader in print finishing
innovation during a special open house to be held at MBO America in Westhampton, New Jersey.
The event, appropriately entitled “Innovation Days,” will highlight the newest advancements in digital
manufacturing, focusing on OnDemand perfect binding production, customized brochure finishing,
transactional printing and finishing, state-of-the-art mailing solutions and technology for targeting
future markets.
During the open house, Muller Martini will partner with Delphax Technologies to present live
equipment demonstrations featuring an in-line digital printing and OnDemand book manufacturing
system consisting of a Delphax digital printer along with a SigmaBinder perfect binder, SigmaTower
cooling tower and SigmaTrimmer three-knife trimmer. Also highlighted at “Innovation Days” will be
demonstrations of the Muller Martini BravoPlus saddle stitcher with partial AMRYS (Automatic MakeReady System).

provides the flexibility to deliver in-line digital book manufacturing efficiencies with a complete in line
system, plus, near-line capability at the same time. Besides the SigmaBinder, SigmaTower and
SigmaTrimmer to be shown at this event, the Muller Martini SigmaLine also offers the expansion
capability to add continuous-feed printing, folding, collating and finishing.
The 13,000 cycle-per-hour Muller Martini BravoPlus stitcher with partial AMRYS provides a level of
automation that is unmatched in the mid-performance class, reducing set-up times by up to 50%
compared to a traditional saddle stitcher. The BravoPlus stitcher can be configured with a choice of
feeder possibilities, including: flat pile feeder, vertical pile feeder, loading automation with stream
feeder, card and cover folder feeder, and merchandise and card gluers. Feeders on the BravoPlus
have been re-designed to allow highly efficient advance and retard timing of each individual feeder
to the chain with a touch of a button. Top-quality stitching on the BravoPlus is assured through
several available options, including ASIR (optical automatic signature image recognition), lateral
thickness measurement by side caliper, oblique sheet monitor, thickness measurement by ridge
caliper, stitch monitor, trim monitor, and sequential on/off.

America has hosted or co-hosted an annual open house for nearly a decade, offering the
