DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Intensive Coronary Care Unit
• Admission of Cardiac patients.
• Checking Vital signs frequently.
• Setting up for crush cart.
• Suctioning both oropharyngeal and endotracheal.
• Performing chest physiotherapy & Ventilator care.
• Continuous cardiac monitoring and pulse oxymeter monitoring.
• Assisting physician in performing all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Assisting in cardio pulmonary resuscitation.
• Assisting in defibrillation.
• Proper hand washing before and after procedure.
• Administration of fluid and electrolytes.
• IV cannulations with all aseptic technique.
• Feeding the seriously ill patient (Nasogastric tube feeding)
• Maintaining intake output chart.
• Monitoring and evaluating nursing care plan.
Preparing the patient for cathlab procedures.
CATHLAB
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team
• Assisting doctors in procedures like angiogram, angioplasty, temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation, PTMC , Peripheral angioplasty etc
• Helps doctors in calibrating pressure transducer and tubing and recording hemodynamic and angiographic data
• Collects venous and arterial blood samples
• Provides care to patients in ICU and cardiac care units
• Observes and records behavioral changes in patients
• Develops, evaluates and implements plan of nursing for patient care

• Performed cardiac catheterization and advised others in this particular area
• Taken active participation in giving CPR and defibrillation
• Took care of patients requirements while performing cardiac catheterization
• Helped doctors during implementation of pacemakers
• Recorded hemodynamics and electrical data
CASUALTY
• Assisting doctors for the procedure like Trauma care, suturing.
