Summary Statement: State the major function(s) of the position and its role in the university. Range 1 The Coordinator, Oral History Program works closely with the University of Nevada Oral History Program’s (UNOHP) director in administration, production, supervising oral history projects, and seeking external funding. Range 2 The Assistant Director, Oral History Program works with limited direction from the Director and has greater fundraising responsibilities. 2. List the major responsibilities, including percentage of time devoted to each. Range 1and 2: Decisions and judgments made by this position have direct impact on the reputation and product of UNOHP and on the financial viability of the program. The work performed by this position is frequently high profile with the public, potential donors, and donors and therefore has a direct impact on the university's ability to raise money and the perception of the university by the public. The performance of the responsibilities of the position can insure the success and credibility of the UNOHP’s work and the reputation of UNR and NSHE. The actions taken related to creating, editing and publishing transcripts and books directly influence the ability of the program to secure funding and produce revenue from its products. Decisions are made for ensuring program quality and accountability to our state and external funders. Fiscal decisions can affect the status of grants and contracts. Inadequate performance may result in contractual obligation failures and dissatisfaction resulting in loss of future funding.
