119 Gallery is a dynamic, community arts space in the Lower Highlands neighborhood of
Lowell, MA. We bridge traditional and new media art by promoting contemporary art,
innovative ideas and cutting-edge techniques. We do this through a rich and diverse
program of exhibitions, performances and community-based arts services. We welcome
people of all ages, backgrounds and means to explore and experience new art and
pioneering artists and art forms.
We want you to be part of our amazing community of artists and audiences. We have a
number of sponsorship opportunities designed to announce your support of our work and
our efforts to be a vital part of Lowell’s creative economy. By participating in the gallery’s
outreach, you will come in contact with a group of dynamic (18 to 45 year old), collegeeducated individuals who appreciate the rewards that a creative community can offer.

We are a community arts organization, dedicated to engaging our neighbors, offering creative

Over 5000 people walked through our doors last year, 2000 subscribe to our monthly
newsletter and we have nearly 1000 active fans following us online. Let us share your

Who is 119 Gallery?
119 Gallery is located at 119 Chelmsford Street in Lowell, MA. After a long history, beginning in 1992,
we moved to our present location in 2005. Our venue in the Lower Highlands has brought new
creativity and activity to our area. Our renovated and ever evolving property brings new life and
vibrancy to our street, neighborhood and community. We are less than a mile from historic
downtown Lowell, MA and a block from the local commuter rail station. Our appealing
contemporary space hosts a storefront petite gallerie and office, and main gallery. During the year
the gallery hosts ten major exhibits, classes and workshops, and dozens of music, dance and video
performances. Our exhibits are highlighted in print media including ARTnews, The New York Times,
The Washington Post, Art New England, The Boston Globe, and Lowell Sun. For more information,
