About the Juror: Holly Roberts’ first national exposure came in 1989 with the
publication of the monograph, Holly Roberts, from the Untitled Series published by the
Friends of Photography. Although her work has always been based on the photograph, it
is the inclusion of paint that makes it distinct. Her recent works develop a narrative
scene with collaged photographic elements, making use of familiar or iconic stories to
address tougher questions about man’s effect on the land and the animals that inhabit
it. In 1990, Nazraeli Press published Holly Roberts: Works 1989-1999, and in 2009, Holly
Roberts: Works 2000-2009. Her work is held by more than 30 museums and universities.
A dedicated teacher as well as a prolific artist, she has had a profound effect on a
community of artists around the country. She currently lives and works in the
Southwest.
Eligibility: All images must be one of a kind and must incorporate some element of
photography. The photographs can be from any source--film, digital, scanned,
alternative processes, etc.-- as long as they are your own, original images. They should
also incorporate other methods of expression such as paint, transfers, collage, prints,
graphite, and ink or any combination of different materials, so that they exist, in their
finished form, as a unique one of a kind, handmade image. The exhibition is open to all

Entry Fee: $30 for three images. Send any additional images for $5.00 per image. Online
payment through Paypal or checks only will be accepted. Make the total entry payment
to Tilt Gallery through the Send dropdown menu on Paypal via link below:
https://www.paypal.com/home. Send payment to info@tiltgallery.com. Make checks
payable to Tilt Gallery and mail to 7077 East Main Street, Suite 14, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.
Submissions will not be reviewed until the entry fee has been paid.
How to Enter: Jurying will be done from the digital representations of artwork only;
please do not submit any physical items for the jurying. There is a minimum of three
images per artist. Any additional images can be sent for $5.00 each. Submit Jpeg files
and PDF Submission Form via email only to info@tiltgallery.com with Subject Line:
“Jury Call 2016.” Files should be 150dpi and no larger than 1000 pixels in the longest
dimension. Title each image file with your first and last name, then the image number
and the title of the piece, which should correspond to the submission form (example:
BobSmith_1_Title, BobSmith_2_Title).
All Submission Forms must be typed using the PDF fillable form. Images must
accurately represent the work being submitted. Tilt Gallery retains the right to reject
any work that is not accurately represented by the submission.
Deadline for Submissions: All entries must be received by Monday, November 2nd, 2015
at 11:59 pm MST. Notification of acceptance will be sent on November 17th, 2015.
Presentation-ready work (with frame, when required) needs to arrive at the gallery no
later than December 18th, 2015.
Awards: First and second place awards and honorable mentions will be granted. In
addition to the Photography Re-Imagined juried exhibition, First and Second place
winners’ will have work selected by Tilt Gallery to be included in our annual signature
exhibition Who’s in the House at Tilt Gallery
