Col. Prof. Dariusz Kozerawski, Ph.D. hab. (habilitatus) – acting Rector-Commandant of National

Defence University in Warsaw (since 2014); vice Rector of NDU for Military Affairs and

International Cooperation (2013-2014); Head of the Chair of Strategy and Geostrategy (2008-2013),

Head of the Chair of European (2007-2008) and title professor of National Defense University. He is a graduate of the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Mechanized Infantry Military Academy (1989), the University of

Wroclaw (1995). He earned doctoral degree at University of Wroclaw (2000); post-doctoral degree

(professorship) in humanities at University of Wroclaw (2006) and title of professor in humanities sciences (2013). His area of expertise is international security, military history, conflict studies and security strategy. He is an author and co-author of over 170 publications in Poland and abroad, including books: International Peace Operations. Planning, Tasks, Conditions, and Techniques

Currently, he works at National Defense University in Warsaw. He is a member of Euro-Atlantic

Conflict Studies Working Group of the PfP Consortium of Defence Academies and Security Studies

Institutes, the Friends of History Society, the Society of Military Historians and Military History

Working Group, Society of Polish Geopolitics.

Conducting his researches on international security, military history, conflict studies and security strategy, professor Dariusz Kozerawski participated in international training, courses, exercises, peace and stability operations in: Afghanistan, Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia and

Herzegovina, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Great Britain,

Hungary, Iraq, Jordan, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Germany, Moldova, Romania, Serbia,

Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, the United States, Ukraine, Uzbekistan. He realized fieldworks in zones of war and stabilization activities (Bosnia and Herzegovina 1998-1999; Moldavia - 2006; Iraq

- 2008, 2014; Afghanistan 2009, 2012; Kosovo - 2012).

He took part in seminars, conferences, gave the papers in European Universities and military academies (NDC Rome, BDCol Tartu, Amman, Athens, Brno, Belgrade, Bucharest, Budapest,

Hamburg, Helsinki, Kiev, Liptovski Mikulaś, Ljubljana, Sofia, Tashkent, Wien) in Canada (McGill,

Ottawa University) and in the fames polish universities (Jagiellonian, Warsaw, Wrocław and Poznań).

In 2010 and 2012 he led the international seminars in European Parliament in Luxemburg ( EU global security ; The Arabic Spring – interpretations, results and strategic perspectives ). In years 2010-

2012 he participated on the works of the Strategic Review National Security led under the auspices of the President Republic of Poland. In 2014 he was the head of NATO DEEP team in Iraq. He is a member of V-4 Educational Platform and Central European Forum of Military

Education.
