Warsaw workshop
1. Wednesday 22nd - Spanish party is arriving at 19.10, at Okęcie
airport. They will be welcomed by Polish students and their families, the
Spanish teachers will be taken care of by Mrs Foremny.
2. Thursday 23rd - Spanish students and their partners will come to
school and attend some lessons. The teachers will be picked up and
brought to school.
Next we will pick the German team up from the airport. Both groups
Spanish and German will visit the Museum of Warsaw Uprising. After that
they will arrive in school for lunch. In the meantime the French group will
arrive at school from the airport.
At 5pm, we will start the first session. We will start with presenting the
videos and short presentation prepared of Google SketchUp prepared by
Polish students. All groups will discuss what they have done so far.
3. Friday 24th - we can meet at school around 9am (to let the students
rest a bit after long and tiring Thursday). Then we'll go to the New Theatre
it’s 5 mins walk from school - this is the to-be-revitalised object of the
Polish team. We arranged a mini tour there.
Then we'll show our partners Royal Baths Park - there is a Royal Palace on
water, the Chopin's monument where in spring and summer take place
live concerts of Chopin music. The park is full of history and squirrels.
Polish students are going to prepare information about the architecture
and buildings there.
After the stroll we'll come back to school around 14 to have lunch and
after lunch we are going to have a meeting with Mokotów district Mayor.
Then we'll start the second session. We are going to work in smaller
groups in IT labs on Google Sketch Up Presentations.
4. Saturday 25th - we'll start a bit later about 11am. There will be a
reception prepared by the Polish team – traditional Polish dishes. After
that maybe around 12.30 - 13. we can start the third session. We can
have lunch after that.
5. Sunday 26th - we are going to meet at 11. in front of the Royal
Castle. Students will arrive with their partners. After visiting the Royal
Castle we'll have a stroll to see the Old Town and then we'll have some
lunch in the restaurant in the centre of the city. Then we will visit The
Copernicus Science Centre.
6. Monday 27th - in the morning the Spanish team will be taken to the
airport. In the meanwhile the French will visit the Warsaw Uprising
Museum, as they can’t visit it on Thursday. Then they are flying back to
Lyon. The German team is going to attend lessons in the morning, after
they will visit some places in the city. In the evening we will take them to
the airport.
