GARNER - SCULPTOR Unique, found object metal assemblage sculpture.
Garner is a mature career sculptor originally from Texas. Garner sources and uses found metal
objects to create mixed medium assemblage sculpture . Some objects are now rare, never to be
repeated objects which have been sourced from old settlements in the outback.
Sculpture is then welded, glued, sandblasted and mounted. Each sculpture contains objects,
some of which are many years old - each artwork contains a special object relating to the story of
each sculpture. Each sculpture is entirely unique never to be repeated due the rare pieces of carefully
selected old metal.
After many scavenging expeditions to the outback, Garner has collected, collated and
Stored enough unique objects, to fullfill his lifetime of current and future sculpting . His quest,
to create unique sculpture from discarded metal objects.

1970-1973 Built houseboat "Spanish Galleron" at Gate 5, Sausalito a& South Seas Haitian
Style Houseboat. Art studio in situ on large barge, Paintings and collage. Collected
scrap metal for sculpture. Travelled to Spain created plaster & welded steel
sculpture.
1968-1970 Maintained framing & sculpture studio, Sausalito, CAL, USA, created frames for
San Francisco Museum of Art. Solo Show on Vardas Houseboat, SS Vallejo,
Sausalito, Built and resided in a Persian style mobile home.
1960-1968
Lived in Greenwich Village NYC, Art practice, drawing, painting, Collage,
