The initial location will be Strand Road Campus. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To contribute to the provision of a support service to staff by assisting in the development of new software systems for use by College staff. ____________________________________________________________________________ The Postholder will: 1 help to introduce and maintain systems which can enable College users to input and disperse stored data in compliance with the Data Protection Act; 2 assist in production of relevant and accurate reports on a timely basis to College management and staff on an online (Intranet) basis and on printed reports to assist in the daily operation of the College; 3 contribute to implementation, under the guidance of the MIS Officer – Systems & Development of new systems as identified above; 4 contribute to the design, development and implementation of intranet reports/applications; 5 contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing web based applications; 6 comply with and actively promote College policies and procedures on all aspects of equality; 7 ensure full compliance with Health and Safety requirements and legislation in accordance with College policies and procedures; 8 ensure full compliance with the College’s quality assurance systems and procedures in accordance with College policies and procedures; 9 undertake any other duties as required by the College’s Principal and Chief Executive or persons carrying his delegated authority. Salary £14,010 per annum. Hours of Work The hours of work will not normally be less than 36 per week. The hours of duty which may be on any of the College sites will be such as laid down to meet the needs of the College and may include periods of duty after, as well as before 5.00 pm on any Monday to Friday. Annual Leave Entitlement Entitlement to annual leave is 21 days in a full holiday year in addition to 12 public and extra statutory holidays. Entitlement to leave in the first year of employment is pro-rata to the number of months completed. Pension Scheme There is an Occupational Pension Scheme relating to employment with the College.
