Graduate Diploma in French Studies This programme provides a one-year qualification in French Studies. It is designed particularly to appeal to students who wish to take an MA with a French studies focus but who require further training at undergraduate level before entering at postgraduate level. The programme will allow students to work on French language skills and/or increase their knowledge of the culture of French-speaking countries, as well as improving their research and study skills. Applicants will normally have a qualification at, or near, BA honours standard (usually in a subject other than French or Modern Languages), and they will be expected to have language skills equivalent to A-level plus two years. In consultation with the programme director, you will choose modules to the value of 90 credits from those available at Level 6 in French (usually including the language module French 5).
