Post Convention castle tour south of Copenhagen
Sunday 10th May 2015.
A coach will collect us from the Tivoli Congress Center at 10 a.m., driving
an hour south out of Copenhagen to the rolling hills of mid-Zealand.
The very lovely Bregentved Manor House will be passed on our way to the
medieval castle of Gisselfeld.
Here we will walk around in the park and have lunch in the castle
restaurant. After lunch the coach will drive us to the yellow baroque castle
Gavnoe. This castle is renowned for its extensive tulip gardens, which
should be spectacular this week of May. We will spend an hour seeing the
park and tulips, and also the castle chapel and interior, time permitting. We
aim to return to the Tivoli Congress Centre at 4 p.m.
