Hello from BGSU! I hope your year is starting out great! I wanted to write to let
you know what is happening in my life.
School has been going well and I am enjoying my college experience. As you
may know, I am involved in a college church at BGSU called h2o Church. h2o is a
university organization and church designed for college students on the BGSU campus
and in the city of Bowling Green, Ohio. They have Sunday services on campus, Bible
studies, and other great events.
This coming spring break, h2o is sending a team of people to the Cumberland
Mountains in Tennessee to serve with a ministry called Mountain Top. Mountain Top is
devoted to improving the housing conditions of disadvantaged persons by providing free
home repair service to families. I see this as a great opportunity to use my spring break
to share God’s love with others, and I am excited to participate in this opportunity.
I am writing to ask for your help in sending me on this valuable mission trip.
Would you begin by praying for the team, for Mountain Top Ministries, and for me
as we bring God’s love to people in need? Also, the total cost of this life-changing
experience is $_____. This includes the cost of the program, transportation, food, and
housing for the week. Would you consider giving $150, $75, $35, or whatever
amount is comfortable to this important mission opportunity? Spring Break starts
on March 9th and I would like to have the finances raised by Sunday, February 22nd.
