University of Tennessee, Memphis- Student presentations for journal club: This is the most regular activity of the student chapter. Members give short seminars on research papers of their choice. The rest of the members in turn give valuable comments to the presenter. Personal and academic Development Seminars: we organize talks on resume writing, proposal writing and using reference management software’s such as EndNote every other year. The reason for not organizing each of them every year is that the content then becomes redundant and the members loose interest. For May this year our chapter has invited two speakers to give talks at the University of Tennessee. One is Dr. Leslie Benet from UCSF, and the other is Dr. Terry Allen who is Professor Emeritus at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.
