‫נפילת החומה שינתה הכל‪ ,‬לפחות כביכול‪ .‬התפרקותן של ברית‪-‬המועצות ויוגוסלביה עוררה ההכרה בהתעצמותם‬
‫של סכסוכים אלימים שאינם ניטשים בין מדינות אלא בין קהילות‪ :‬סכסוכים פנים‪-‬מדינתיים וחוצי‪-‬גבולות‪ .‬מחקר היחסים‬
‫הבינלאומיים החל מתמסר יותר לבירור אתניות‪ ,‬לאומיות והשפעתן על פרוץ אלימות‪ .‬בכך נכרכה‪ ,‬לא תמיד במודע‪ ,‬תמורה‬
‫מחקרית מקבילה‪ :‬הפוליטיקה של הזהויות היתה לפולטיקה עולמית‪ .‬מהן זהויות חברתיות ומדוע וכיצד הן צומחות? מה‬
‫ייחודן של זהויות אתניות ולאומיות ומה ההבדל בין השתיים? באלו נסיבות הן עלולות להוביל למלחמה ומתי עשויות להביא‬
‫דווקא שלום? התשובות כמובן מורכבות‪ ,‬ובסמינר זה נתחקה אחריהן באמצעות תובנות ממגוון תחומי‪-‬דעת‪ ,‬ובכללם אתיקה‪,‬‬
‫פוליטיקה השוואתית‪ ,‬פסיכולוגיה חברתית ולימודי ביטחון‪ .‬את התיאוריות והמודלים נעמיד למבחן המציאות‪ .‬כציר אמפירי‬
‫מרכזי ישמש המקרה הישראלי והסכסוך היהודי‪-‬ערבי‪ .‬בצדו נבחן קהילות אתנו‪-‬לאומיות נוספות‪ ,‬כגון מארונים‪,‬‬
‫אפריקנרים‪ ,‬צרפתים‪-‬קנדים‪ ,‬אלבנים‪ ,‬ארמנים ועוד‪ .‬הקורס מיועד לתלמידי מ"א ולתלמידי ב"א מתקדמים‪.‬‬

‫הקורס יתקיים במתכונת של סדנא‪ ,‬ויחייב נוכחות סדירה והשתתפות פעילה בפגישות הקורס; היעדרות משלוש פגישות‬
‫ומעלה תגרע מהציון‪ .‬סטודנטים שייעדרו מחמש פגישות ומעלה לא יזכו לציון‪.‬‬
‫במהלך השיעור הראשון נציג שורה ארוכה של מקרי‪-‬מבחן‪ ,‬בעיקר סכסוכים אתנו‪-‬לאומיים (למשל‪ :‬קוסובו‪ ,‬גאורגיה‪-‬‬
‫רוסיה‪ ,‬אלבנים‪/‬מקדוניה‪ ,‬באסקים‪/‬ספרד‪ ,‬קורסיקה‪/‬צרפת‪ ,‬אויגור‪/‬סין‪ ,‬קוויבק‪/‬קנדה‪ ,‬טיבט‪ ,‬קשמיר‪/‬הודו‪ ,‬דרפור‪/‬סודאן‪,‬‬
‫כורדים‪/‬עיראק וטורקיה‪ ,‬טמילים‪/‬סרי‪-‬לנקה ועוד)‪ .‬כל סטודנט יבחר מקרה‪-‬מבחן (בחירה אותה ניתן לשנות במהלך‬
‫השליש הראשון של הקורס)‪ .‬בשיעור השני יציגו הסטודנטים בקיצור נמרץ את הסכסוך שנבחר‪ .‬מקרה‪-‬המבחן ישמש‬
‫את הסטודנטים כציר לבחינת תיאוריות ותובנות שיילמדו במהלך הקורס‪ .‬המטרה היא לא רק להטיל אור תיאורטי על‬
‫מקרי‪-‬המבחן אלא להשתמש במקרים האמפיריים לדיון ביקורתי בתיאוריות עצמן‪.‬‬
‫הסטודנטים יקראו בעיון את קריאת‪-‬החובה (לרוב מאמר אחד) לפני כל שיעור‪.‬‬
‫הסטודנטים יגישו שלושה דו"חות קריאה (באורך של כעמוד אחד) על שלושה פריטי‪-‬קריאה לפי בחירתם‪ ,‬ויציגו רפרט‬
‫אחד בכיתה‪.‬‬
‫לקראת סוף הסמסטר יבחרו התלמידים אם ברצונם להגיש עבודה או לגשת לבחינת‪-‬בית‪.‬‬
‫הציון בשיעור יקבע על סמך השתתפות בכיתה (‪ ,)33%‬רפרט (‪ )13%‬והעבודה‪/‬הבחינה המסכמת (‪.)33%‬‬
‫רשימת נושאים וחומר‪-‬קריאה‬
‫הקורס נחלק לשתי חטיבות נושאיות‪ .‬בחטיבה הראשונה נתמקד בבירור הדינמיקה הפנימית של האתנו‪-‬לאומיות‪ :‬נפענח את‬
‫התופעה‪ ,‬ונבחן את האופנים והמאפיינים של צמיחת קהילות אתנו‪-‬לאומיות והתפתחותן‪ .‬בחטיבה השנייה נתמקד במימד‬
‫החיצוני‪ :‬יחסים בין‪-‬קהילתיים בכלל וסכסוכים בין‪-‬קהילתיים (בעלי מימד אתנו‪-‬לאומי) בפרט‪ .‬כל פגישה תשלב בין היבטים‬
‫תיאורטיים ואמפיריים‪ .‬דגש מיוחד יינתן למקרה היהודי‪-‬ישראלי ולמזרח‪-‬התיכון‪.‬‬
