Decide who the play will be performed for and which students will play which roles. ○Prepare students to give a lively performance, which expresses the themes of asking for help and cooperating to accomplish a difficult task, by cooperating in small groups to add expressions and actions to their performance. ・Divide into groups and prepare to present “The Giant Turnip” in English. Give each group a chance to present so they can check their progress and see how the other groups have decided to perform. 3 ○Motivate students to give a lively performance for the first graders by having them cooperate in small groups to decide what expressions and actions they want to add the story. ・Present “The Giant Turnip”. Afterward have first graders and third graders comment on the performances.
