National Science Foundation/Engineering Research Center Research Fellow (1/95 – 6/96)
A national science foundation (NSF) fellowship in ultrasound research. Projects included building and
testing 3-D ultrasound transducers to increase signal strength by reducing acoustic impedance mismatch.
Later projects included design and creation of a forward-looking intravascular ultrasound transducer driven
by a unique, evolving technology known as an Integrated Force Array.

Consultant Work:
Eligibility Review Committee. Independent adjudication committee for ensuring appropriate enrollment of “no option”
and “poor revascularization option” CLI patients into a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebocontrolled, parallel group study to evaluate autologous tissue repair cells in CLI patients. Pending final
contract approval.
